A warm welcome to The Stay Club. We hope that you’ll enjoy your time in our accommodation. Please take the time to read through this page as it contains information that you will find useful during your stay.

Our accommodation is approved by the National Code for Large Student Developments, which aims to ensure transparent and professional management of purpose-built student accommodation. All our residences comply with these regulations. The Code ensures that residents benefit from the adherence to clear policies and procedures relating to health and safety, maintenance, environment, contractual obligations and complaints.

Rest assured, whilst staying in our London student accommodation all your utility bills are included in the cost and will not change during your stay.

Making Your Reservation

You can make a booking with us in three ways:

Confirming your Booking

Online Bookings

Once you’ve selected your room type and contract length, you’ll be forwarded to a page to sign your booking Terms & Conditions and make the 1 week advance accommodation fee payment.

Once these have been completed your reservation will be confirmed.

Bookings made via our Sales and Customer Service Team

Once you’ve selected your room type and contract length, you’ll receive an e-mail outlining your reservation information.
Contained within this e-mail are details of how to make your 1 week advance accommodation fee and sign your booking Terms & Conditions. These must be done within 48 hours of receiving the provisional booking e-mail.
Once these have been completed your reservation will be confirmed.

Advanced Accommodation Fee

Your advanced accommodation fee is equivalent to 1 week accommodation fee (e.g. if your weekly accommodation fee is £300 per week, your advanced accommodation fee will be £300).

This payment is required to confirm your booking. It is a part of your total accommodation fee and will not be refunded when your agreement ends or when you move out.

Changing your room

If you would like to change your room, please contact your reception team by e-mail or by visiting the front desk. Changes are not guaranteed and will be dependent on current availability.

Any room changes after check-in may incur a small fee.

Cancellation Policy

Academic year 2023/24

Cooling off period All bookings receive a 5-day ‘cooling off’ period starting from the booking confirmation date. If you request to cancel within this period, you will be released from the contract and receive a full refund. Please note, should your check-in date fall within these 5 days, this will classify as the end of your ‘cooling off’ period.
Outside cooling off period Once the 5-day ‘cooling off’ period has expired, you will be liable to pay your accommodation fee as per your licence agreement, however, you do have the option to find a replacement occupier (at our sole discretion).
University refusal Until 31st July 2023, any cancellation requests outside the ‘cooling off’ period will be considered only if you have not been accepted into your chosen London University. Each cancellation request will be taken on a case-by-case basis and must be supported by documents confirming university refusal. If cancellation is approved, you will be released from the contract and your accommodation fee will be refunded less the prepayment. After 31st July 2023, cancellations outside the ‘cooling off’ period will not be considered.
Visa Refusal If your visa is refused, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your visa refusal. Each cancellation request must be sent with supportive document (visa refusal and official proof that your course has been cancelled) prior to the booking start date. If cancellation is approved, you will be released from the contract and your accommodation fee will be refunded less the prepayment.

Tours

Tours and room viewings are available at all properties from 09:00 – 18:00, Mon – Sun. To arrange a viewing please complete our online form or e-mail info@thestayclub.com

Due to the nature of our reservations we may not always have your desired room type available to view

During your tour you will be shown examples of our room types. Please note these are ‘show rooms’ and will not necessarily be the room allocated to you for your stay.

When to make a booking

You don’t have to book a room until you’re accepted into the university. We can assist you in making a booking, and we have lots of information on our website about our locations in London and what’s nearby.

Things to consider before booking

When choosing a student room in London, think about how close it is to your university. Then, decide what amenities and facilities you’ll need to make your stay comfortable. Do you want a luxury private bathroom and a spacious living area? Are there things to do near the location? And are there areas to socialise and meet new people on-site? The Stay Club has it all.

Our requirements for booking

The minimum age for residents is 16 years old. Any resident less than 18 years old must complete and submit a Parental Consent Form before arrival.

Requirements for our London student accommodation properties:

All residents must be accepted on a full-time higher education study programme at a London institution for the duration of their booking. Evidence of this must be provided upon arrival.

Residents at our Camden and Kentish Town properties must be studying at a London institution with a campus inside one of the following London boroughs: Barnet, Brent, Camden, City of London, City of Westminster, Haringey, or Islington.

We also offer an Airport Pickup Service. To arrange or get a quote, please e-mail your reception team with your full name, flight details and phone number at least 24 Hours in advance.

What's included?

Our studios are self-contained, each with its own bathroom and kitchenette. Your accommodation fee includes:
• Kitchenette with appliances – fridge/freezer, 2 plate hob, microwave, toaster, and kettle
• Kitchen starter pack
• Bedding and towels upon check in
• Utility bills (water, heating and electricity) and Wi-Fi
• Shared spaces to study or relax
• Access to onsite gym facilities (in select properties)All our properties have onsite laundry facilities. For pricing information please check the Laundry section.If you are not exempt from Council Tax, you may be liable for this. Please check the Council Tax section for more information.If you choose to watch or record programmes as they are broadcast on TV or watch programmes on a streaming service like Prime TV, All 4 of ITV Hub or watch any programmes on BBC iPlayer, you will need to buy a TV Licence.

Housekeeping

Camden housekeeping rates: Standard Cleaning (Without linen replacement): £20 / Premium Cleaning (With linen replacement): £30

North Acton housekeeping rates: Standard Cleaning (Without linen replacement): £20 / Premium Cleaning (With linen replacement): £30

Kentish Town housekeeping rates: Standard Cleaning (Without linen replacement): £20 / Premium Cleaning (With linen replacement): £30

Maintenance

Maintenance is available 24/7 in all properties for emergency situations. For non-emergency requests our on-site teams are available between the following times 9:00 and 16:00.

Laundry

Each property has a dedicated laundry room equipped with washing machines and dryers.

The Stay Club Camden: Washing Machine £3.00 / Dryer £1.00

Utility and Wifi

Utility bills (water, heating and electricity) and Wi-Fi in your room and shared areas (cinema, laundry etc) are included in your accommodation fee.

Pets

Pets are not allowed in any of our properties. Sorry, not even cute ones.

Guest Policy

A reasonable number of day and overnight guests are permitted. A fee might be applicable depending on length of stay. For the guest policy for the property you are interested in, please check the Residents’ Handbook (accessible at the bottom of this page)

Council Tax

If you’re not in full time education at a relevant institution, you may be liable for council tax (minimum 21 hours per week for 24 weeks). Please note that will be contacted by the council for further details.

Is there any parking space available to residents?

There is no parking space available to residents in the property, however an independent private parking space is available within 50m. Availability is in first-come first-serve basis.

Making payments

Once you have selected your room and the length of your stay, you will receive an email with your reservation details. This email will include instructions on how to pay the advance accommodation fee (mentioned earlier) and you will need to sign the booking Terms & Conditions. This will include payment instructions for you to follow. You must complete it within 48 hours.

ARRIVING WITH US FAQS

Moving in

You can move in anytime from 15:00 on the booking start date.

Our reception desks are open 24/7. If you’re arriving between 23:00 – 07:00, please let your reception team know in advance.

Before arriving, we ask that you have completed all due payments and signed the booking Terms & Conditions. Failure to do so will result in a delay to your moving in process.
Please have your photo ID and proof of student status available when checking in.

Early arrival

Early Arrivals can be arranged depending on room availability. If you would like to arrive early, please e-mail info@thestayclub.com or contact your reception team.
